How does the stair assistant work?

When going down

When descending the stairs, it is best to hold onto the upper part of the handle.

The outer edge of the handle should be slightly raised to release the handle from the lock.

  • While lifting the handle, push the handle a full arm’s length away from you.
  • After setting the handle down and it has locked, you can take a step down.
  • Repeat this for each step.

The simple operation is fully mechanical and does not require a second person.

when going up

When ascending the stairs, it is best to hold onto the lower part of the handle.

  • The handle should be moved an arm’s length away from you. Your arms should be fully extended.
  • Now take a step up the stairs.
  • Repeat this for each step.
