This privacy policy explains how Topro collects and processes personal data both on topro.de and on its Facebook fan page.

In order to place an order on Topro.de, we need your name, address, cell phone number and e-mail address.

This is necessary to send your order to the correct delivery address, to keep you informed about order processing and to contact you about your order if necessary.

We are obliged to store order information in connection with invoicing, tax settlements and the processing of warranties and returns. This data or history will be deleted after ten years. We may also store your IP address used when ordering for security reasons.

Other personal data may also be required for various purposes. The personal data concerned and the purpose for which it is collected are described in this privacy policy.

The online store Topro.de is owned and operated by Topro GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "Topro"). The protection of your personal data is important to us at Topro GmbH. We want you to understand how we handle your data.

What is personal data?

Who is responsible for processing the data?

The company Topro GmbH, Bahnhofstraße 26 d, 82256 Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany (represented by its managing directors Matthias Mekat and Markus Hammer, contact details on About us page, is the controller of the personal data we process. This means, for example, that we are primarily responsible and have obligations under the Norwegian and German Data Protection Acts.

A company that processes data on our behalf is referred to as a processor. When we use the services of a processor, we enter into a data processing agreement with them, which sets out how the data to which they have access is to be processed.

What personal data do we process?

We collect personal data in the following categories, but this does not necessarily mean that we collect data in all categories for all customers.

  • Basic data such as name and contact details.
  • Demographic data such as date of birth and gender.
  • Data about your customer relationship such as service and order information, payment information and customer service requests.
  • Data from your visit to our website (including date and time, what type of PC/mobile phone, operating system and browser you use, IP addresses, screen size, etc.).

How do we obtain personal data about you?

Topro uses personal data for the following purpose:

We also use the data to provide you with the best possible user experience, including by automatically logging in and automatically adapting the content displayed to the screen.
  • Development and analysis: We process personal data in order to understand the needs of our customers and to improve our services.

These activities include marketing products and services, including formulating target groups, tailoring marketing to your needs and sending newsletters and other information that you have requested.
  • We use personal data to evaluate applicants who apply for an advertised position or send unsolicited applications.

  • We process personal data to fulfill our legal obligations in connection with bookkeeping and to submit information to the competent authorities if we are required to do so under Norwegian law

Why are we allowed to process your personal data?

Our processing of your personal data may be based on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Fulfillment of a contract with you, such as the purchase of a product
  • Fulfillment of a legal obligation, such as checking who has purchased which products, due to guarantees and possible recalls,
  • Protection of your vital interests,
  • Performing a task in the public interest

How do we protect your personal data?

With whom do we share personal data?

We share your personal data with other companies in our Group that use it for the same purpose for which the data was collected. We also share the data with our subcontractors so that we can offer you the agreed service. Here you will find an overview of our processors.

We will also disclose personal data to authorities if there is a legal basis for the disclosure of data.

How long will the personal data be stored?

We store your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes of data processing. This does not apply if storage is required by law for a longer period than this purpose provides for.

Anonymized data is not subject to any processing restrictions, as it can no longer be directly or indirectly attributed to a natural person.

Your rights

Data protection legislation gives you a number of rights, including the right to access, correct and delete the personal data we hold about you.

We make every effort to ensure that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and up to date. If you discover that the data we hold about you is incorrect, we recommend that you contact us as indicated below. This also applies if you want the stored data to be deleted.

When it comes to the request for erasure, there is an exception for the data that is necessary for the provision of the services to you or that we are obliged to store for a certain period of time for legal reasons.

You have a right to data portability. This means that you have the option of receiving your personal data in a machine-readable format.

You have the right to object to the processing of personal data, profiling and automated decision-making. You can therefore request that your personal data not be analyzed to reveal your behavior, preferences, abilities or needs.
