There are two requirements to be able to apply for reimbursement of stair climbing aid costs.
The first and most important requirement is that you are a member of a statutory health insurance.
It is often a prerequisite that you are a member of a health insurance fund or equivalent.
It is also common that you or your relative must have an official care degree that proves both the need for care and limited mobility.
Whether and how much your insurance company must or can pay is always individual.
The application for a subsidy is made either informally or formally. You submit the formal application to your care insurance fund using the appropriate forms.
