The innovative TOPRO Step stair climber

Many older people have limited mobility and therefore rely on aids to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.

Therefore, walking aids such as rollators or walkers are particularly helpful for people with limited walking function when they want to continue moving independently on flat surfaces.

For overcoming stairs, there is now the mechanical stair rollator TOPRO Step. We have made it our mission to make people more independent and safer in their daily lives and to enable them to maintain and promote their walking function in their own homes.

What exactly is the stair walker?

The stair walker TOPRO Step is a revolutionary development in the field of accessibility and mobility aids for those with limited walking ability.

It supports and secures you while climbing stairs at home, allowing you to stay active and maintain your independence.

The fully mechanical stair walker consists of a handle and a handrail. The handle is attached to the handrail and moves along it during use.

The rail system is mounted along the stairs on the wall and features a patented locking mechanism that prevents slipping or falling on the stairs. Once pressure is applied to the handle, it locks immediately, providing support and safety.

Made from high-quality and sustainable materials like stainless steel and anodized aluminum, it takes up very little space, folding to just 18 cm from the wall.

How does the stair walker work?

Downstairs

  • Hold the upper part of the handle.
  • Lift the outer edge of the handle slightly.
  • While the handle is lifted, push it a full arm’s length away from you.
  • After setting the handle down and it locks, you can take a step down.
  • Repeat for each step.

Upstairs

  • Hold the lower part of the handle.
  • Move the handle an arm’s length forward and up.
  • Your arms should be fully extended.
  • Take a step up.
  • Repeat for each step.
