What does a curved stairlift cost?

Curved stairlifts are available in all kinds of different designs and price ranges. As curved stairlifts usually have to be specially adapted to the staircase, this has a significant impact on the price and delivery time.

The typical price range for curved stairlifts is between 5,900 and 12,500 euros, including the statutory warranty period of 2 years.

As a rule, every curve in your staircase doubles the basic price of the stairlift. Each curve must be tailor-made to fit your staircase exactly.

Resale value

As curved stairlifts are made specifically for your staircase, it is unfortunately very difficult to resell them on the private market as a used product after a few years.

The average service life of a curved stairlift is approx. 2 years. The monthly costs can therefore be considerable, as you only have a very low resale value compared to the purchase costs.

Why you should consider alternatives to curved stairlifts

As already mentioned, the purchase costs are quite high compared to the value you still have after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. However, you can purchase an extended warranty period, which covers all service and repair costs. As a rule, stairlifts need to be serviced every 6 to 12 months, at a cost of around 200 euros per year.

In addition to the high price, curved stairlifts are known to take up a lot of space in and around your staircase. The seat unit often stands at a distance of around 60 cm from the wall. This is also the reason why curved stairlifts often do not comply with building regulations.

One of the greatest health benefits is being able to move independently and climb stairs for as long as possible.

Daily activities such as vacuuming, short walks and climbing stairs are important to stay active as you age. A study of 36,000 people from Norway, Sweden, the UK and the US shows that these small daily activities have a profound impact on your health and life expectancy.

How much does a TOPRO Step for curved stairs cost?
