How does the stairclimber work?
On the way up
When climbing the stairs, it is best to hold on to the lower part of the grab rail.
- The handle should be moved one arm's length away from you. Your arms should be fully extended.
- Now take a step up the stairs.
- Repeat this for each step.
Walking down
When descending the stairs, it is best to hold on to the upper part of the grab rail.
- The outer edge of the handle should be lifted slightly to release the handle from the lock.
- As you lift the grab rail, push the grab rail forward a full arm's length away from you.
- Once you have lowered the grab rail and it has locked into place, you can take a step downwards.
- Repeat this for each step.
The simple operation is completely mechanical and does not require a second person.
